Utah's first confirmed case of the B. 1. 1. 7 COVID-19 variant, which originated from the United Kingdom, was discovered in the state, the Utah Department of Health announced Friday. Caption: KUTV: Ginna Roe reports The case was found in a man between the ages of 25 and 44, who lives in Salt Lake County. He tested positive last month and had no known travel outside of Utah. The health department said he only experienced mild symptoms.
